Climber Jump

Climb a wall of shifting platforms where every jump comes down to timing. Wait for the landing surface to swing near, then leap from the middle of your current hold.

Timed platform climbing

Jump windows on a moving wall

Climber Jump carries a small climber straight up a wall of moving holds and platforms. Every surface runs on its own loop, so each jump is a fresh timing choice rather than a steady rhythm. The way forward is to wait until the landing spot lines up, make one leap, and let the game carry the character between surfaces. A patient read of each swing keeps the climb smooth and the run going.

Read one swing, then leap

Every landing surface keeps its own rhythm, and the climber can only connect while a platform is within reach. Watch one full swing of the surface first, then leap at its closest point. Taking off a beat too soon or too late turns an easy gap into a miss, so the look-before-you-leap habit pays off on every section. One complete observation of the swing usually gives you all the timing you need for that part of the wall.

A centred start adds reach

Starting a jump from the rim of the current hold leaves the next landing almost no room for error. Move back to the centre, let the character steady itself, and jump from there. Launching from the middle turns a near miss into a safe grab on the level above, because the leap travels its full distance. Give the next platform everything the jump has, and the extra reach from a centred start becomes the margin that keeps the run alive.

Relearn the rhythm each time the wall changes

The speed and spacing of the surfaces change as you rise, so the timing that carried the opening stretch no longer fits what comes next. Treat each new group of platforms as a small puzzle on its own: study the cycle, adjust, then leap. Moving up at a steady pace and pausing after each grab gives you time to read the next gap before you commit. Height won with a careful landing stays yours, while one hasty jump can wipe out the whole climb.

Holds and timing questions

When should I leave the hold for the moving surface?

Leap at the instant the upcoming surface aligns with the climber and reaches its nearest point. Taking off at any other stage of the swing leaves the platform out of reach, which is why watching one complete rotation first makes the window obvious. Follow the whole loop once, then place your jump at the closest approach every time.

Why do I fall short when I jump from the edge of a hold?

An edge launch wastes part of the travel before the leap starts, so the next platform ends up just out of reach. Moving back to the middle of the current hold and jumping from there lets the character use the full distance of the leap. The reach gained from that centred start is usually the difference between a clean grab and a short miss.

Should I chase a platform as I fall?

Do not chase the surface while falling. Let the platform finish its swing, move back to the centre of the current hold, and leap again when the landing zone returns within reach. A calm second attempt beats a hasty jump into the gap, and the surface always swings back around for another chance. Patience here keeps one miss from turning into a full fall.

Does the wall feel faster as I climb higher?

The pacing does change as you rise, with the speed and spacing of the surfaces shifting between sections. That is why the timing that worked at the bottom stops fitting further up. Approach every new stretch as its own read: study the cycle, adjust your moment, then jump. Since the exact pace is never fixed, letting each section teach you is the reliable route.
