Our house rules
You are welcome to browse ZooGame for personal, lawful fun. What we ask is simple: do not try to break the site, inflate advertising traffic artificially, run automated tools to abuse the service, or get in the way of the outside services that bring you the games.
The games and who runs them
Everything on the catalog side of ZooGame sits on authorization we secured for the site. When you tap into a game, the actual playback tends to run through an external service whose terms are its own, not ours.
Availability and updates
Both ZooGame and the game services connected to it are offered on an as-available basis. We may update pages, take things down, or correct mistakes from time to time.
Dealing with rights and takedowns
Rights holders can expect their work to be listed only under the authorization we hold for ZooGame. Need to send a copyright takedown notice or a counter-notice? The Content rights page lays out how we process them.
The two sides of the site behave differently, and it helps to know which one you are dealing with. The catalog pages, the category shelves, and the guides are ours: we write them, we maintain them, and we correct them when something is wrong. The playable game is not ours. It runs on an outside service, so what happens inside it follows that service's own rules rather than the ones described on this page.
That split explains most of what the house rules are asking for. Browsing and reading are open to anyone. What is not welcome is anything aimed at the site's operation rather than its content: attempts to interfere with how pages load, automated traffic sent to inflate advertising, and tools used to strain the service that delivers the games.
It also explains what we can and cannot change. A guide with a mistake in it can be corrected, and a link can be removed. A problem that sits inside the game itself, such as a control that behaves oddly on one device, may only be fixable by the outside provider that runs it. Reports of either kind are welcome, and the contact page is the way to send them.
Nothing on this page is a promise about the future. Pages get rewritten, guides get added, and listings get removed when their information no longer holds up. Treat the catalog as something that is maintained rather than something that is finished, and the rest of these terms will read the way they were intended.
